Part Time Permanent Position - 31.00 hours per fortnight, Camberwell Location
Must be able to work up to 76 hours per fortnight

We currently have exciting employment opportunities for passionate and experienced Personal Care Workers to join our team at our magnificent heritage listed “Tara” mansion in the heart of Camberwell. We are currently looking to fill three part time positions - two are permanent and one is a 1 year fixed-term contract. The successful applicants must be able to work:

1. (Permanent) - 24.5 hours per fortnight

Week 1 - Tuesday - 15.00 - 21.45 & Saturday - 16.00 - 20.00

Week 2 - Monday & Friday - 16.00 - 20.00, Saturday - 15.00 - 21.45

OR

2. (Permanent) - 26.75 hours per fortnight

Week 1 - Monday 15.00 - 21.45, Friday - 16.00-20.00 & Sunday - 15.00 - 21.45

Week 2 - Monday - 15.00 - 21.45 and Sunday - 16.00 - 20.00

OR

3. (Fixed-term) - 31 hours per fortnight

Week 1 - Thursday - 07.00 - 13.30 & Sunday - 07.00 - 15.00

Week 2 -Friday & Saturday - 21.45 - 07.00

The primary responsibilities of the position include:
Assists with medication safely within designated scope
Responsible for a clean, warm, tidy and comfortable living environment within the apartments
Delivers domestic care including personal care, simple cleaning, linen service and food preparation
Confident use of technology to input, read and extract resident information
Observes, documents and reports changes in resident wellbeing and care environment
Shows sound judgement and knows when to escalate issues to clinicians
Works well in a team environment

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
Endorsed to administer medication (required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You are friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour
A natural ability to build relationships that make a difference
Honest, helpful and dependable - a great asset for the team
Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
Shows empathy and treats others with dignity and respect
