Responsible for delivering specialised trauma informed counselling services.

Your new company
We are currently partnered with one of our key not for profit clients to recruit a Counsellor to join their experienced team of clinicians. This organisation specialises in trauma informed practice and offers a recovery and strength-oriented support service.

Your new role
As the Counsellor you will be a key member of the clinical team offering counselling services to a varied complex case load. You will support adults, children, young people and groups as they go through the process of transitioning from conflict into safety. Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete psychosocial assessments to develop counselling plans
  • Utilise trauma informed therapeutic approaches
  • Contribution to the development and delivery of therapeutic groups
  • Intake and allocations support
  • Advocate for clients and their families
  • Identify relevant support services to assist longer term

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will have proven experience delivering trauma informed counselling services. Working within a team environment your previous experience working along other allied health professionals will be advantageous. Key requirements include:

  • Qualification in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work including registration with the relevant professional body
  • Proven experience within a trauma informed practice service
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and complete reports
  • Experience working with a highly complex clinical case load
  • Current WA driver's licence
  • Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check

What you'll get in return
In return for your commitment to this role you will be paid an excellent salary package of $85,000 - $90,000 + Super + Salary Packaging and 5 weeks annual leave. This organisation offers excellent clinical supervision and support.
