Salary: 90K – 120K NZ dollars

Our Client:

Our client covers the greater Wellington, Kāpiti, and Hutt Valley region, providing hospital and health services in primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare to a total population base of approximately 445,000 citizens.

They are the two district health boards accountable for meeting the needs of and improving health outcomes for all the constituent populations of both district health boards in their sub-region, and the region more broadly.


As a member of the Planning and Performance Management Team, this role has shared accountability for the performance of the Contract Administration team; specifically assisting the General Manager to use Investment Analytics and strategic use of contract management systems and process to achieve equity, improve health outcomes, drive, and support innovation, meet performance targets and objectives and build a high performing and engaged staff.

The Health Contracts Manager is responsible for the development of the contract management system and process, which underpin the SPP General Managers delivery of the whole of system commissioning by:

  • Utilising Investment Analytics
  • Strategic application of Contract Management systems and process to improve health outcomes

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Proven experience in Contract Management and Procurement
  • Knowledge of key stakeholders in health services

  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of successfully presenting to or facilitating for small and large groups
  • Successful experience negotiating and influencing
