Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of Essential Safety Measures [ESM] in accordance with the Building Code of Australia. Ensure relevant contracts are in place for inspection & maintenance of ESM & Life Safety Systems in accordance with Certificate of Occupancy [or other].
  • Ensure all necessary statutory audits/ inspections are carried out and necessary recommendations for improvements are actioned.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation & records are maintained to meet audit requirements.
  • Comprehensive management of minor works projects.
  • Manage reactive and planned maintenance requests using BEIMS/PULSE system.
  • Ensure the effective management & utilisation of contractors. Ensure that contractors comply with relevant regulations, health & safety standards & policies at all times.
  • Ensure all contractors are inducted & comply with iProLive registration at all times.
  • Carryout regular inspections/ audits to ensure they are maintained appropriately to satisfy relevant statutory regulations & health and safety standards.
  • Ensure relevant & appropriate quality standards are maintained with all maintenance & asset management services provided.
  • Participate in the Engineering Department after hours on call rosters.
  • Deputize engineering department in an absence of engineering manager
  • Other duties as directed that is consistent with the employee’s skills & classification.
