Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint an innovative and agile individual to the newly established position of Informatics Lead for the Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG).

The role will be responsible for developing and implementing information systems and tools that contribute to local information for support of continuous process improvement that is focused on improved patient outcomes, efficiency and enhancing organisational reform. This includes developing monitoring tools for Key Performance Indicators and metrics relating to operational strategies and projects, including recommendation and development of automated systems. The role will participate in the development of training for staff, on features and best practice usage of database systems and tools.

This position is also responsible for leading the newly established RPBG Central Business Informatics unit, and will play an active role in the implementation of recent changes to RPBG business functions, and contributing to the agile and ongoing continuous improvement of business activities across RPBG within the dynamic demands of the public health care setting.

The successful applicant will have significant experience and applied competency working in health or business data analysis and information management, complimented with strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage and facilitate productive working relationships across teams and work with a variety of stakeholders. They will also have demonstrated experience in customer centric design, including the eliciting and documenting of business requirements, and system or application specifications. The applicant will have experience with business intelligence software packages such as SQL, Tableau and relational database management software.

About the RPBG: The Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) provides care within the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS), in Western Australia, and incorporates both Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and Bentley Hospital. RPH is a 450-bed tertiary hospital offering an extensive range of services including: adult major trauma, complex and elective surgery, highly specialised surgical services, tertiary mental health, specialist medical services and a range of same-day clinical support services. RPH also has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australia and the second biggest trauma workload in the country. As a premier teaching hospital, RPH has a number of joint appointments with various universities and has established a global reputation in research and innovation. The Bentley Health Service is a 199 bed public hospital providing specialist care in rehabilitation, community child and adolescent health, aged care and mental health.
