About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is a brand new facility offering the latest technology and modern environment within our perioperative area.

As the Clinical Manager you will be actively involved in the initiation, planning, design, implementation, management and evaluation of the theatre department to which appointed at Calvary Health Care. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Clinical Services (Procedural Areas), you will be responsible for the implementation of improving day to day patient care and the development of staff specific to Recovery and DOSA only.

As the Clinical Manager you will liaise with all Hospital Services to facilitate the ongoing development of unit based activities and resources that influence the continual development and maintenance of standards of safe practice and the delivery of comprehensive and cost effective nursing care.

What you bring

  • Registered Nurse with current APHRA certification
  • Commitment to developing and improving the development of staff within the Recovery and DOSA area through technological, resource and quality management
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills relating to internal and external stakeholders, as well as building trust-based, collaborative relationships;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices pertaining to these specialties;
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge in Recovery with a keen desire to pass on knowledge and teach others
  • Demonstrated knowledge of staffing levels, skill set and budgetary restraints
  • Demonstrated skills of leading a team, maintaining a positive culture and change management
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
  • Physical assessment skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
