Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What You'll Be Doing

This position has been developed to assist with vision screening as part of the Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening (StEPS) Program within Western Sydney Local health District.

Registration: Current enrolment with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as Enrolled Nurse Division 2

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated recent and relevant skills and experience, including with children
  • Proven effective and open communication skills both written and verbal, that build greater cooperation and confidence in care delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment with a focus on delivering organised and prioritised care, in order to achieve the most effective and efficient outcomes for the patient.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications and a commitment to undertaking training in electronic health record systems.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and escalation, whilst effectively following directions
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Current Driver’s Licence Class C and willingness to use for work purposes
