Patient Support Services role based at Monash Medical Centre Clayton - Emergency Department.

About The Role

Based at Clayton working within acute and continuing care facilities, your main focus in this role will be for the effective provision of services to the Emergency Department.

The positions incorporate cleaning and patient meal services, patient transfer between wards, mortuary transfers and can involve patient lifting & turning inward bed areas under the direction of nursing staff.

Night Shift Roster with ADO ( 76 hours/Fortnight)

Tuesday to Saturday - 22:15 to 06:45

Responsibilities will also include:
Patient Discharge Assistance

Use of Lifting Machines and Slings

Assisting Nursing staff as requested

Transfer & cleaning of ward equipment

Patient transfers with use of equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs.

Mortuary Transfers

Assistance in the main ED at time during high patient demand

Use of Lifting Machines and Slings and at times assisting with Bariatric patients

About You

We are looking for people who have a high standard of customer service, along with great communication skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health. We will need you to have:

Certificate III Health Services Assistant

Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1

A competent level of verbal & written communication skills

Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks

Basic to intermediate computer skills

Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling

A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service from a health care or hospitality environment (desirable)

Current Victorian Drivers Licence (desirable)
