What You Will Be Doing

Peninsula Health will be overseeing several vaccination clinics both onsite and externally. Our large external clinics will provide vaccinations for community members meeting the Government’s prioritisation for vaccination. This recruitment is to support the external vaccination clinics. This role will encompass consulting patients about their vaccination plan (particularly high risk patients) and be the medical lead for the management of potential complications such as anaphylaxis post vaccination

  • Pre-vaccine assessment and counselling
  • Post-vaccine assessment and management of people having an immediate adverse reaction following vaccination
  • Escalating concerns to the medical supervisor in a safe and time efficient manner
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work in a busy vaccination clinic
  • Effectively work in a team and independently
What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
  • Current registration as a medical practitioner with APHRA
  • Minimum 5 years fulltime postgraduate training
  • Up to date basic life support and advanced life support certificate
  • Must be able to practice evidence-based medicine and act autonomously commensurate with confidence and experience
