About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Home Maker to join our collaborative team at Uniting Banks Lodge in Peakhurst on a permanent part-time basis.

The Home Maker role is central to the delivery of our person-centred approach and will lead their team to enhance the physical and social well being of Residents and help them achieve their goals.

Our Home Makers go above and beyond basic assistance with daily activities around the home, supporting Residents to have choice and control over how things are done around their home and in their lives.

About You

You will have established frontline leadership experience, and a willingness to work with your peers, to lead your team during a period of significant change. Experience in Aged Care is not essential; however, you will have a passion as well as the necessary technical skills for working with vulnerable people. You will also have:
  • Certificate IV in Aged Care or a Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) or other role with equivalent qualifications
  • Experience and ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills and competency as a leader
  • A gift for working collaboratively with a team and confident flying solo

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and coordinating daily work activities for yourself and providing guidance to your team to ensure care needs are met, while allowing flexibility in Resident preferences and choices
  • Demonstrating an understanding to identify and clarify Care Worker responsibility for aspects of care in consultation with the Registered Nurse, and other members of the health care team
  • Maintaining a continuum of care with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrating an ability to utilize systems and processes that effectively audit, analyse and continuously improve the comprehensive assessment, care planning process and care delivery for each person receiving care
