Northside Gynaecology is a well-established small practice of 4 female gynaecologists based on the north side of Brisbane, consulting from 3 different practice locations in Kedron, North Lakes and Caboolture. 

We are expanding constantly and have a dynamic working environment with all the latest in technology for our staff to work with.

We also have another office for our admin team to work from located in Brendale. This is our “back” office and certain tasks are completed in the comfort of a brand-new office with the latest technology.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Medical Secretary to help with the daily running of our clinics on a Part-time basis – with the hours starting at 25 hours per week and then increasing to around 35 (we promote a flexible work environment). You would enjoy a fast-paced environment and be reliable, efficient, accurate and organised. We value the patient experience above all else so you will be professional and discreet and caring.

Main Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the Practice Manager you will be responsible for;

  • All front office reception clinic duties including sterilisation and all accounts during clinic.
  • Excellent patient care service
  • Patient and Doctor Management
  • Appointment and some theatre bookings management with the Theatre bookings team.
  • Answering incoming phones
  • Document management including letters (no typing)
  • Meticulous Data Entry

Skills Required:

  • Strong customer service focus
  • Typing – 50 – 60 wpm
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a surgical specialist practice
  • High level of organisational/time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion, tact and ability to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite – Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Use of Shexie Platinum or any other Medical Software is a MUST
