JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a federal government agency and this is a 12 month contract role. In this role reporting to the Manager, Provider Adoption this position will help drive the meaningful adoption and use of digital health technologies among the health workforce. This role will also involve supporting PHNs, Jurisdictions and Indigenous Health Services to deliver digital health education and change management across multiple healthcare settings.


  • Leading education and change management activities for adoption of My Health Record particularly within the Aged Care; Specialist, and Primary Care sectors;
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to drive the use of key digital health programs including My Health Record, Medicines Safety, Electronic Prescribing and Secure Messaging;
  • Providing regular digital health priority ‘train the trainer’ education and updates for primary care, Jurisdictional and Indigenous Health delivery partners;
  • Driving and supporting locally tailored approaches to enhance adoption of digital health programs, in line with the Agency’s digital health strategy;
  • Assisting stakeholders to resolve technical and usability issues and/or escalate appropriately to help centre or software providers;
  • Collaborating with software providers to promote key digital health functionality within clinical information systems;
  • Providing Agency representation for local clinical and community engagements, such as conferences, community forums and clinical peak association engagements;
  • Willing to travel both locally and interstate with capacity to work outside of normal business hours;


Essential

  • Background in digital/clinical educator roles in either the primary care, community or acute care settings.
  • Understanding of primary healthcare workforce, their workflows, and potential challenges in day-to-day practice.
  • Knowledge of My Health Record, Electronic Prescribing, and Secure Messaging or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving and rapidly challenging environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Requirement to obtain and maintain relevant national policy check, and security clearance in which Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
