As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.



Your new team



  • Join dynamic multidisciplinary model of care delivering safe, timely, effective person centred care.

  • Be part of building this expanding model including the introduction of a Nurse Practitioner model of care and the implementation of a Crisis Hub.

  • Services more than 78,000 adult patients per year.

  • The service provides assessment, investigations and treatment of all patients who present and is part of a designated Major Trauma Service and has a high acuity case mix with an emphasis on Trauma, Infectious Disease, Chest Pain Evaluation, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.


Your success in this role, will be in your ability to



  • Provide comprehensive, holistic nursing care

  • Deliver a high standard of evidenced based nursing care to Emergency Department and Short Stay patients and their families 

  • Understand the link between performance measures and the improvement of clinical care for patients and implements care to achieve patient flow within the service and achieve Emergency performance measures.

  • Explore career pathway opportunities


Your contribution:



  • Nurses with Emergency Department experience and/or current post graduate Emergency qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with health professionals at both a clinical and executive level

  • Interest and experience in research and knowledge of research methodologies and processes
