Monash Lung and Sleep provide inpatient, outpatient care for patients with chronic respiratory disease, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, allergies and conduct research projects across all areas. This position is based at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.

About The Role

In this role you will work closely with staff and patients to provide exceptional customer service. You will work with a supportive, professional team and interact with a wide variety of staff across Monash Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Friendly and helpful customer service and communication skills;

  • Proven organisational skills and can work autonomously;

  • Demonstrable ability to manage a range of administration responsibilities across a number of areas;

  • A quality focus whilst ensuring work is completed within the required time frames;

  • A flexible approach to staggered start and finish times.

This is a permanent full time position, 38 hours per week, consideration given to part time. Monday to Friday business hours

About You

This position requires an experienced, dynamic administration assistant to join our team. You enjoy working with people in a busy environment, have strong organisational skills and an ability to adapt to changes according to priorities and demands. You will need to have the ability to interact with patients and families in a sensitive and confidential manner whilst demonstrating empathy. You enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Strong data entry skills, experienced in financial management/invoicing systems and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook are essential.

Any previous role with administration experience is highly desirable.

Previous background in health is preferred but not essential.
