JOB DESCRIPTION

The Practice

We are a well-established and growing, modern, friendly dental practice located in
Sunshine, Melbourne (10 kms west of Melbourne CDB) with two locations in Sunshine and 3 others across Melbourne.

The Role

The Clinical Manager position is a pivotal leadership role overseeing daily practice functions through the coordination and guidance of the team, and contributing to the overall delivery of superior patient care.

Responsibilities include (not limited to):

· Management of all HR related matters; Leave, Recruitment, Onboarding, Training & Development, Performance & Behaviour, Timetabling & Rostering

· Review and update documentation around people and processes in the practices

· Performance appraisals and management

· Supporting the directors to oversee the smooth daily operations of the practice

· In-depth oversight of the ongoing appointment schedule, updating and informing of appointment changes, reminders to patients, and follow up appointments

· A well-versed approach to stock control, dealing with dental materials and clerical supplies, ordering, maintaining, invoicing, and billing with a timely, efficient approach

· Strong knowledge of the health insurance process or the ability to quickly learn, communicating effectively about personal cover, outstanding gap, and the personal ongoing care/treatment plan process

About You

The Clinical Manager position is a senior role within the practice and will attract an individual with a proven background of operational team leadership within a dental practice environment. The ability to engage and motivate others will be a key strength along with modeling a positive work ethic.

Key Criteria

· Demonstrate leadership capabilities, sound dental environment knowledge

· Display the professional maturity to work collaboratively and autonomously within the business

· Demonstrate proficiency with IT systems, interfacing and integration of IT software, data management

· Be professionally presented, deliver excellence in patient and staff service, and have the capacity to step up when required and execute soft authority

· Utilise sound interpersonal skills and communication with dental professionals appropriately ‘managing up’ as required in a positive and productive manner

· Display vision, innovation, and commitment to continuous improvement
