A brilliant opportunity exists to bring your tech savvy, equipment problem solving skills to the front line at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Perhaps you work in another industry and have completed a diploma or degree in engineering, electronics or audio visual and you want to apply your technical expertise and problem solving skills in sorting technical issues with equipment setups in our Operating Theatres. You will need to have prowess for solving patching, porting/networking issues with a passion for diagnostics.

The Operating Suite Equipment Support Person is the go-to team member in the Theatre complex when our equipment is not working. You will be the first port of call when our Surgical Teams are experiencing difficulty with audio visual equipment, lighting, anaesthetic equipment, operating table malfunctions, IT networking and device fault finding.

You’ll be tasked with the responsibility to save the day using your technical prowess to identify configuration issues with our equipment and deliver superior AAA grade service on the spot.

RMH Perioperative Services is open 365 days a year and our equipment must be ready to go at any time. A big part of your role will be to ensure we are mission ready and operational when it comes to our equipment. You will need to meticulously maintain our service records and manage the complete repair process with our contracted repairers. Liaising and networking with our stakeholders is key to keeping our Department moving.
