About the role
Calvary Adelaide Hospital is a brand new facility offering the latest technology and modern environment within our theatres.
As the Prosthetic Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the overall management of prosthetics at Calvary Health Care Adelaide including; receipt, tracking and dispatch. This role will also be accountable for inventory control; stock take and follow up/investigate any discrepancies with suppliers. To input, maintain and process patient charges. Sound knowledge of Patient Billing Processes and Patient Management Systems. Accountable for processing of prosthesis and forwarding of details to prosthetic biller. At all times recognising and acting in accordance with the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Adelaide.

What you bring
  • Proven experience with knowledge of procedures around Health Fund Contracts to capture all revenues
  • Proven experience in Patient Billing
  • Experience with a Patient Management System
  • Experience with the estimation of prosthesis and non prosthesis items for uninsured patients
  • Experience in health fund negotiations for exgratia payments
  • Responsible for the financial consent process of gapped prosthesis, liaising with patients and doctors for identifying charges responsible to the patients
  • Inventory management knowledge (preferably in a theatre environment)
  • Clinical background/knowledge relating to prosthetic management
  • Excellent computer knowledge including; Inventory Management Systems, iPM, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge relating to supplier prosthetic schedules and government rebates
  • Demonstrated ability in report writing which allows CNAH to track all key areas associated with prosthetic management
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership and able to communicate at all levels
  • Commitment to enhancement of LCMHC Mission & Values
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service and continuous quality improvement
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management
  • Accountable for updating Dept. Health & Aging Private Health insurance Information
  • Act as an additional resource for Accounts Receivable when applicable
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Creativity, initiative & vision in regards to new initiatives
  • Ability to work without supervision
