Receptionist - Allied Health Clinic - 3 days per week

Wesley Mission Qld's Health and Wellbeing team provide allied health and nursing services to a wide range of clients living in the community. We have a team of ~70 staff across our two clinic locations (Chermside and Sinnamon Park) and our services span across 11 clinical disciplines. Our facilities include two allied health clinics, a rehabilitation gym and a hydrotherapy pool, as well as a mobile clinical workforce who can deliver services to clients within their homes. There is currently an exciting opportunity for an administrative professional to join our team in a Receptionist capacity for 3 days per week, working Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, 8am to 4.30pm, with the opportunity for the role to increase to full time in the future. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic people-person with administrative experience within a health or medical setting who is a fast learner and problem solver.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute to a customer centric culture that maintains their needs at the heart of all activities.
  • Identify opportunities with service delivery team members to provide cross disciplinary services which may be of benefit to the customer.
  • Provide overall day to day operation of the front receptionist processes.
  • Efficient appointment scheduling and resource allocation for clinical staff
  • Monitor printers and administration equipment; coordinate servicing, deliveries and ordering of admin and non-admin consumables for the hub.
  • Manage cash till and EFTPOS transactions and reconciles banking at the end of each day.
  • Manage financial transactions through relevant practice management systems, create receipts for all services and provide support to customers claiming private health insurance, obtaining reimbursement for Medicare funded visits and process DVA documentation requirements.
  • Maintain currency of knowledge of relevant funding requirements and eligibility criteria, local fire and safety protocols including pool rescue procedures and participate in Hydrotherapy Rescue training and/or basic first aid.
  • Contribute actively to a MDT environment to achieve the best possible outcome for customers.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, customers, various stakeholders and the Allied Health Manager.
  • Adopt and utilise a dynamic, mobile approach to customer service delivery.
  • Accept additional responsibility as required to enhance service delivery
