Have you got passion, motivation and dedication to make a difference to patient centerred care? The Division of Women’s and Children’s has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join Western Health’s (WH) leadership team as an Operations Manager.

The Operations Manager supports the Divisional Director and the Clinical Services Director to facilitate effective and efficient leadership and operational, financial and clinical governance of the division and is responsbile and accoutnable for the deliver of Best Care and the effective and efficient operational, financial and clinical governance in their designated portolio.

The program responsibility for this role includes but is not limited to the oversight of the following areas/services: Inpatient Maternity Care, Birthing, Maternity Assessment Centre, Maternity at Home and Midwifery Group Practice.

Key area of focus for the role includes:

  • Ensuring that the Division has visibility of its performance against clinical and operational key performance indicators, monitors performance and identify areas for review and analysis, and lead implementation of strategies to ensure the Division achieves its key fiscal and operational deliverables

  • Systematically reviews model of cares and service delivery within the division and oversee the development and implementation of services which are safe, effective, co-ordinated and responsive to ensure that the women and baby is at the centre of their care

  • Actively contribute to the development of the Divisions Quality Plan and the achievement of significant standards of performance benefiting the entire organisation and utilise ‘Best Care’ principles to assist in developing strategies that support quality assurance for the Division

  • In partnership with the Divisions Management Team develop a sustainable and proactive approach to engaging women, families, carers and the wider Western Health community in providing feedback to inform the development of the Divisions Quality Plan

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Be an experienced clinical leader, capable of engaging staff

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Maternity Services

  • Demonstrate a consistent record of delivering operational and clinical KPIs

  • Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level within a complex organisation

  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging leadership style

  • Be passionate about patient care and clinical outcomes

  • Have effective relationship management

  • Have a proven track record in achieving excellence in clinical service provision

  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice trends

  • Be able to demonstrate recent success in building and leading teams
