An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Nurse to join Ward 10

Details of Department:

Ward 10 is an acute Geriatric Medical ward that caters for patients who require specialist geriatric input as part of their admission pathway. A high percentage of patient admissions is directly from the Emergency Department or alternatively transferred from the acute Medical & Speciality wards. As a result, our patient cohort is acutely unwell with a variety of medical conditions. This creates a unique and rare opportunity for nursing staff to be part of a dynamic and innovative unit providing high quality acute care nursing in a sub-acute setting

Details of position/position requirements:

Thinks critically and analyses nursing practice

Engages in therapeutic and professional relationships

Maintains capability for practice

Comprehensively conducts assessments

Develops a plan for nursing practice

Evaluates outcomes to inform nursing practice

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include:

Experience with symptoms of Dementia and Delirium

Understand practices to prevent harm from falls

Recognise and respond to a Deteriorating Patient
