About our ADULT & Youth Services at Monash Health

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

Unit 2 at Dandenong Hospital is a 25 bed inpatient unit,which sits iwithin both the Adult and Youth Mental Health Service in our dedicated program.Servicing Youth,aged 17-25 who require short term inpatient support and treatment during an acute or severe phase of mental illness.We do also provide further assistance and guidance to our patients and their families when transitioning back to the community.

Our purpose built Mental health facility serves a culturally diverse population within the South East of Victoria .With the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions and programs ,both patients and their families are able to learn about the impact of illness and explore ways to better manage within their environment with coping strategies as they move towards recovery .

About The Role

Unit 2 is seeking registered Psychiatric Nurses with demonstrated knowledge and experience within acute Youth and/or Adult Mental health,bringing their passion and and enthusiasm to our Youth Services.

We curently have full and part time ongoing and fixed term positions available to work across the functional rotating roster ,joining our well established and supportive team.

About You

To support your application to this role ,we require you to have;

  • A Masters or post graduate qualification or current enrolment within mental health studies

  • Demonstrated Nursing experience within an acute mental health settingdedicated to safe best practice & quality care

  • Australian working rights

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Employee level Working with children check
