JOB DESCRIPTION

  • SCHADS Award Level 7 ($108,425) contract until June 2023
  • Salary Packaging Option (up to an additional $15,895 p/a)
  • Full-Time Position based in Tennant Creek

The Lead Practitioner (Team Leader) is responsible for the implementation, leadership, and integration of Counselling, EAP, Relationship Services, and Crime Victim Counseling Services.

LEAD AN INTEGRATED TEAM:
  • Provide support and guidance to ensure staff deliver high quality, responsive casework, and services, in line with contractual obligations, mandatory reporting legislation, and the needs of the community
  • Embed contractual funding requirements into service delivery, with reference to the Program Plan, Program Guidelines, Theory of Change, and Program Logic
  • Develop and monitor best practice, evidence-based services to inform strengths-based client work, program delivery, and reporting to funding bodies
  • Foster a cohesive team culture based on accountability, respect, reflection, and innovation
SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • Relevant qualification in Counselling, Social Work or Psychology, and a minimum of five years' experience in relevant clinical practice and leadership position
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report writing, case note writing, and supervision, and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff, and stakeholders across a range of diverse cultural groups and settings.
  • At least 5 years of experience in either counselling or case management.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people.
  • Experience in providing supervision to staff.
