JOB DESCRIPTION

Western Cardiology is a large, privately owned specialist practice with multiple locations throughout the metropolitan and country area.

We are looking for an experienced, bubbly and well organised Medical Receptionist to join our Carine Branch.

Part Time Position. Working Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday. 4 set days per week. 7.5 hours per day.

Office Hours are between 8.30am - 5.30pm. Flexibility is required with work hours

  • Provide exceptional Patient Care/Customer Service.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Assist Cardiologists with clinic requirements.
  • Enter patient details into the database - 100% accuracy.
  • Book and confirm patients for their non-invasive tests in advance, provide test and billing details.
  • Process patient accounts.
  • Scan and maintain appointment referrals / Scan documents in patient electronic files.
  • Undertake general office duties as required and/or requested by Management.
  • Maintain the practice environment to a high standard, observing OHS requirements.
  • Open / Close the office.
  • Practice collaboratively with Western Cardiology technical and administrative staff.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in your day to day duties.
  • Perform ECGs and apply/remove ambulatory monitors. (no experience necessary as full training will be provided).

The ideal candidate must have 1 year (minimum) experience as a medical receptionist and demonstrate exceptional data entry, accounts processing, organisational and time management qualities. The candidate must also possess excellent telephone skills and mannerisms, provide quality customer service/patient care and have a positive and pro-active approach to work.

This is a very busy and dynamic role - the ability to multitask and work under pressure is essential.

Knowledge and experience with medical software programs is essential.
