Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Aboriginal Education Consultant to join our team at the Centre for Education and Workplace Development!

Do you have significant experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of Aboriginal workforce development activities?

Do you have previous experience in the provision of coaching and mentoring to staff or students?

The Centre for Educaiton and Workforce Development (CEWD) is the education and training service for SLHD.

CEWD provides a wide range of development opportunities to both the clinical and non-clinical workforce. Some broad portfolios include: clinical placements, orientation, traineeships, management and leadership, corporate skills and clinical skills including teaching through simulation. CEWD is also a major delivery site of the NSW Health RTO and provide a wide range of nationally recognised vocational education and training programs and qualifications.

CEWD is responsible for a number of Aboriginal education initiatives including both traineeships and cadetships. This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and evaluation of Aboriginal education activities in SLHD.

This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
