About the Role

This position, which is part of the Critical Care and Surgical Stream, is currently required to provide a clinical service to the Cystic Fibrosis Team. This service is a unique and rapidly expanding team which currently provides multidisciplinary care for approximately 250 children and adults with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) on the one site. This role works in conjunction with the senior clinician and the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist clinical care for adults and children with CF attending Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children's Hospital in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This may include (but is not limited to) respiratory assessment and airway clearance therapies (including inhalation therapies), exercise testing and prescription; musculoskeletal management; awareness of issues relating to continence, bone health, pain management and pre- and post-natal health. In addition, this role provides a point of reference for health practitioners external to Monash Health with respect to CF physiotherapy care, as well as clinical input to regional and outreach multidisciplinary clinics. It will also be an integral member of the multidisciplinary leadership team, and actively develop strategic plans for service provision.

About You

You will have highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to best practice care. You possess clinical reasoning skills in the area of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and have previous experience with Cystic Fibrosis clients. This position is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment and to expand on their leadership skills and advanced clinical reasoning.
