About the role

The Facility Manager is a member of the Facilities Department. The primary role of the department is to provide the infrastructure and equipment support necessary to allow the Hospital to deliver its core business – the provision of safe quality health care to the community. The department is looking for a Facility Manager to to manage and administer the Facilities Department and the services it is responsible for providing to the Hospital and to manage and implement service delivery contracts and the Capital Works infrastructure related program.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated ability and achievement in customer service, Contract Management, Project Management, Capital Works, managing a multi-disciplinary department and team leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in Capital Works procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex procurement competencies, accrual accounting and budgeting and experience in the application of quality assurance principles.
  • Proven ability in managing large and complex facilities management and service delivery contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate relatively autonomously with a high degree of accountability
  • Demonstrated capacity to use innovative ideas and lateral approaches in delivering required outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Proven oral and written communication, skills of a high order, together with excellent negotiation, interpersonal and representational skills.
