JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking dynamic Registered Nurses that are committed to the delivery of outstanding nursing care along with advancing their own professional development.


The Western Health Emergency Department Discovery Program is a 6-month, educator-supported learning program designed to introduce you to the exciting and demanding field of Emergency Department nursing.


As part of this program, you will:



  • Participate in education from shift to shift with theoretical learning and paid formal education days

  • Receive a comprehensive clinical workbook, set clinical hurdles and activities to facilitate learning and ongoing learning objectives


Nurses who successfully complete the Discovery Program will be clinically and educationally prepared to undertake post graduate studies.


To apply for this program, you need:



  • Current registration with AHPRA to work in Australia

  • To be able to commit of 64 hours per fortnight, working a rotating roster

  • Recent acute medical or surgical experience
