JOB DESCRIPTION

Access Potential has an exciting opportunity for a New Graduate to join our Occupational Therapy team. You will be supported by our senior staff in order to expand your learning and gain the necessary skills to develop a career in Paediatrics. Our New Graduate Program includes a generous CPD allowance, professional Administration support, realistic KPI targets, and ongoing supervision. You will work with a broad selection of clients who have varying disabilities and needs to ensure you develop a rounded knowledge and experience. This is a longer-term opportunity with the ability to progress your career.

You will be fully supported by our administration team so you can focus on helping our clients achieve their goals and improving their quality of life.

Your duties will include

Working within our sensory gym 

Conducting offsite visits, and facilitating remote sessions

Conducting both formal and informal assessments to identify needs in a range of areas including fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, social skills, ADLs, and behavioural management

Building strong and meaningful relationships with parents, caregivers, advocates, teachers, and support staff

Accurately reporting on progress and using sound clinical justification

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Occupational Therapy or Post Graduate qualification

Current registration with AHPRA (or ability to obtain)

Current driver’s license

NDIS Worker Check

Working With Children’s Check

First Aid Certificate - (Desirable)

Proven experience working with children and/or adult caseload

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
