The organisation is a well established & well respected not for profit community & family services provider based in Geraldton, a beautiful coastal region of Western Australia. They offer a range of therapeutic services & programs aimed at providing the community with a complete family service in a manner which promotes human growth & well-being. 

About the role 

This is a senior management level position within the organisation which plays a crucial role in the day to day operations of the Family & Relationship Counselling Services throughout Geraldton & the Midwest. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Assist the executive managers in coordinating the delivery of professional & high quality family counselling services in the region 
  • Provide ongoing leadership, line management & supervision to ensure a positive team environment 
  • Ensure that appropriate records, database & administrative systems are up to date & maintained to ensure a high quality service is delivered 
  • Review & update the services & program if and when required 
  • Actively participate in meetings and undertake professional development 
  • Carry a small caseload of clients if required

Selection criteria 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling 
  • Full registration with relevant membership body 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in providing management to staff members 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience clinical experience in providing counselling - preferably in a family services environment 
  • Excellent organisational skills & high level of report writing skills '
  • Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
