What you'll be doing

  • To direct, co-ordinate, support and participate in the provision of safe, effective, customer-focused pathology service provision, and manage all associated clinical, operational and staffing requirements
  • To provide the framework for training activities for the Pathology Collection services, including leadership and professional development

  1. Registered Nurse with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification
  2. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience managing a clinical team within a health care setting, or equivalent leadership experience and demonstrated understanding of a Pathology environment and Pathology collection service
  3. Sound understanding of legislation, policies and requirements that impact a health care environment including work health and safety and privacy requirements
  4. Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical staff, and the ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures
  5. Demonstrated high level of problem solving, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  6. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to quality improvement and the ability to manage change
  7. Demonstrated computer literacy skills - including use of Patient systems, Rostering systems and Quality systems and computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite
  8. Unencumbered Class C NSW Driver's Licence and capacity to travel to any site as required
