Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Casual Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Casual Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Working across all site of WSLHD drug Health sites

Essential Criteria:
 
Current Nursing Registration (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
 
Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of drug and alcohol dependence issues and treatment interventions
  2. Demonstrated understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking
  3. Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
  5. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
  6. Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
