Candidates MUST have a medical degree registrable in Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Ophthalmologists to deliver a high quality Ophthalmology service, clinical leadership and operational management of Ophthalmology services to the patients of Manning Valley.

1. Medical degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the Health Insurance Act of 1973.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, safe clinical Ophthalmology services for elective and urgent cases.
4. A demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork, guideline development and outcome measurement along with highly developed communications skills with patients and staff.
5. Willingness to participate equitably in the department’s on call roster.
6. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and training at both undergraduate and post graduate level. Involvement in quality improvement and research programmes and ability to work in a computerised environment.
