The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for an Allied Health Professional - CATT vacancy.

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - CATT (512320d) and only one position will be filled on merit


Salary

$94,469 to $111,765 pro-rata, per annum

Please note that access to salaries beyond $105,158 is subject to completion of a relevant Graduate Diploma or application to the personal upgrade scheme in accordance with Schedule 8 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Permanent, part time, shift work (set rotational), working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing June 2021

Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing - South


Duties

  • Work within the designated region in collaboration with other staff within Community Mental Health Services, Inpatient Mental Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services and a range of community service providers, to deliver improved outcomes and experiences for individuals presenting with mental health concerns, including those presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) North & North West.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, assertive case management including triage, crisis intervention, intake and assessment and the development and implementation of care plans for designated clients in both the community and the ED.
  • A clinical expert who acts as a clinical resource for staff and other providers involved in the management of people with mental health concerns, including those with concurrent alcohol or drug use issues.
  • Support and contribute to current strategic direction and initiatives.



Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
  • Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or
  • Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Current Drivers Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

a) Crimes of Violence

b) Sex Related Offences

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty

e) Serious traffic offences

Desirable Requirements

  • Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Five or more years’ post graduate clinical experience.
