An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, permanent full-time Equipment Nurse to join the team in Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Newborn Services.


The Women’s & Children’s (W&Cs) Newborn Services Equipment Nurse is a role for a professional clinical facilitator who will provide leadership, planning, delivery and educational activities relating to equipment and consumables within Newborn Services. The role will utilise and share specialist knowledge, skills and the essence of nursing to improve care, maintenance and use of equipment. The Equipment Nurse will work closely with the Unit Manager and Biomedical Engineering to coordinate equipment and consumable trials, complete audits and product evaluation

To be Successful in this Role you will have



  • Completed of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent leading to registration in Australia

  • Post graduate qualification in neonatal intensive care or equivalent

  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people

  • Previous experience in a hospital setting as an Equipment Nurse
