Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Allied Health Workforce Development Consultant to join our team at the Centre for Education and Workforce Development!

This position is open to all Allied Health professions.

Do you hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in an Allied Health profession that provides eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional association and/or registration to practice with AHPRA?

Do you have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to undertake the qualification, as well as a demonstrated understanding of VET education within a health setting?

CEWD is the education and training service for SLHD. CEWD provides a wide range of development opportunities to both the clinical and non-clinical workforce. Some broad portfolios include: clinical placements, orientation, traineeships, management and leadership, corporate skills and clinical skills including teaching through simulation. CEWD is also a major delivery site of the NSW Health RTO and provide a wide range of nationally recognised vocational education and training programs and qualifications.

The purpose of this position is to develop and deliver high quality education and training initiatives to the staff of SLHD to ensure that they have the skills required to deliver or support the delivery of high quality patient and family centred care. This includes education for Allied Health staff, Allied Health Assistants and providing education regarding the role of Allied Health to all staff across the District.
