What you'll be doing

Are you interested in working in a challenging but rewarding position as part of a small by dynamic team of health professionals? The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Mental Health Eating Disorders Team is based in the beautiful coastal Illawarra Region. The team uses a combination of face to face and cutting edge virtual technologies to provide CBT-E treatment and monitoring of the mental and physical health for eligible consumers. The team is looking for a passionate, committed professional seeking to make a difference to young lives.
The position is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of assessment and ongoing psychological interventions to eating disordered clients and their families within the Illawarra.

Selction Criteria:

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist (PsyBA).
  2. Demonstrated skills in psychological assessment, interpretation, diagnostic and referral skills.
  3. Demonstrated skills in psychological interventions and knowledge of intervention approaches used in the treatment of eating disorders.
  4. Demonstrated skills in clinical decision making, multi-disciplinary case management and team work.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate service plans.
  6. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Current unrestricted NSW Class C driver's licence.
