An exciting opportunity exists within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District for a Trainee Aboriginal Dental Assistant to join our professional multi-sited, multi-disciplinary Oral Health team in a culturally welcoming and supportive environment for a period of 12 months.

SESLHD Oral Health Service is offering a Dental Assistant Traineeship- Aboriginal Targeted for a period of 12 months. The purpose of the position is to provide clinical support and assist with the efficient delivery of a high quality Oral Health service to eligible clients in SESLHD.

  1. This is a Targeted Aboriginal position. Applicants must provide confirmation of Aboriginality.
  2. Successful completion of school certificate or equivalent.
  3. Commitment to complete the requirements of NSW TAFE Certificate lll in Dental Assisting.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
  5. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  6. Demonstrated computer skills.
  7. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes within SESLHD.
