The Position

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is a world class private hospital offering the highest quality medical and surgical care in a warm and welcoming environment.

We currently have opportunities for enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacists to join our team in the delivery of safe and rational medication management for patients from admission to discharge.

Working as a Pharmacist with us, you will act as a patient advocate in providing optimal cost effective pharmaceutical care consistent with hospital, government (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) and health fund requirements.

This is a fabulous opportunity to take the next step in your Pharmacy career, working alongside our professional and supportive team within a hospital environment.

Positions will initially be offered on a casual basis with potential for part and/or full time contract work in future.

The Successful Candidates Will Have

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated involvement in continuing education and training programs and a commitment to continual professional development
  • Oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff and patients in fluent English.
  • Possession of knowledge necessary to provide pharmacy services to patients and other health care professionals in a hospital environment.
  • Ability to prioritise, monitor and coordinate personal workload to meet deadlines, without direct supervision.
  • Ability to contribute to and work as part of a health care team at ward and pharmacy levels.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation with a commitment to optimal patient care and professional practice.
  • Ability to supervise and provide leadership.
  • An understanding of and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.
