JOB DESCRIPTION

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Registered Nurse employment opportunities within the Sub-Acute Care Unit at the Townsville University Hospital.

If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you may be contacted further by the Unit at the time an opportunity arises.

Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.

The Sub-Acute Care Unit provides restorative and rehabilitation services to promote independence in activities of daily living that helps regain functional capacity and reduce functional decline. SACU is designed to provide therapeutic programs and activities for hospitalised patients to meet their functional, cognitive and social goals within the rehabilitation and restorative model of care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) + current AHPRA registration.
  • Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, including an on-call roster.
