About Ward A, Casey Hospital

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

Our Surgical Ward A at Casey Hospital delivers a variety of services to Emergency and Elective Surgery including Gynaecology, Urology, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery and Neurosurgery.

About the Role

Ward A has the opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk to join an amazing team and be part of the growth of the services at Casey hospital and provide care to the broader community.

The Ward Clerk is a key role within the Ward, providing a customer focused service to patients, their families and visitors. Working in a busy team based environment, the Ward Clerk provides efficient and effective clerical support to the clinical ward staff. The Ward Clerk contributes to optimum patient care and actively contributes to the functioning on the Ward.

Ward A has a Part time opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk, offering 15 hours per week. You would be required to be flexible with shift times and days.

About You

You are an experienced Ward Clerk with knowledge of varying software programs including IPM / EMR and excel spreadsheets.

You are also:
dedicated to safe best practice care and contribute to the functioning of the Ward

enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively

an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles

What you need:
Ward Clerk experience, previous experience in a similar role is required

Familiarity with medical terminology

Current Australian Working rights
