JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist / Health Psychologist to work on a temporary part time basis (0.9 EFT) with a range of inpatient and outpatient Oncology Services at Western Health. This is a Maternity Leave locum position until June 2022.


The Clinical Psychologist / Health Psychologist will work alongside a supportive and innovative multi-disciplinary team of Allied Health, Nursing and Medical Staff, to provide Best Care for the community of the West.


In this role you will play a key clinical role in providing highly skilled psychological assessment, individual and group interventions, and psychoeducation, and work alongside a small but passionate and highly-skilled team of Psychologists at Western Health.


To be Successful in this Role you



  • Commitment and passion for providing exceptional patient centred care;

  • Passion for working with clients with complex and chronic health conditions, in a dynamic clinical setting;

  • Experience in the application of Clinical / Health Psychology with oncology patients, and more broadly in an acute and sub-acute setting for adults and older adults

  • Strong focus on education and training, and enthusiasm for supporting postgraduate trainees on placement;

  • Commitment to a Psychology Service that promotes an evidence-based, best practice culture, and supports continuous service improvement.
