About the Role

The position is responsible for delivering high levels of service, client care, advanced technical expertise and leadership in mammographic aspects of the screening and assessment services provided by the BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Southside Service. Additional competency in either Tomo/Stereotactic core biopsy with VABB, or Breast Ultrasound is required for this position. Competency in Clinical training would also be highly regarded.

BreastScreen Queensland, Brisbane Southside Service has been established to provide breast screening and assessment services for the eligible women of a major part of the Metro South Health Service and It covers that part of Brisbane which is south of the Brisbane River, north of the Logan River, east of the Logan Motor Way and extends to the Island in Moreton Bay in the east.

The number of eligible women within this Service's catchment area is in excess of 152,000. The Service seeks to provide a first-class service to women. It employs state of the art equipment and provides high level training for all staff. Staff operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a philosophy of excellence in health service.

The Service at QEII Hospital and the Satellite Units at the Redlands, Logan, Coorparoo, Wynnum, Upper Mount Gravatt, Browns Plains and Inala provide facilities to screen in excess of 45,000 women per year. This service also provides out of hours appointments between 6.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
