JOB DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

CliniKids is Telethon Kids Institute’s first team integrating their world class research with a clinical service. At the heart of our innovative model are children with developmental delay and/or autism spectrum disorder and their families.

CliniKids offers early intervention services including speech pathology, occupational therapy and clinical psychology. We also offer autism diagnostic and therapy services and families have the opportunity to be involved in our most current research. CliniKids also runs training in specific therapies, workshops and events throughout the year.

The Role

We are seeking two casualResearch Therapists who will work within a team, under guidance from their Coordinator/Manager, to conduct high quality research through providing therapy or intervention.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Deliver therapy to primary caregivers of children in group settings
  • Relationship management of participant/families
  • Maintenance of research data records i.e clinical case notes and other associated research documentation
  • Identify areas of improvements in policy and processes
  • Contribute to the activities of the research team and project including development activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant records in line with GCP guidelines and institute policies
These roles are for 18 months on a casual basis

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
  • Qualification/s or experience in psychology or related discipline.
  • Experience in delivering therapy approaches relevant to autism and/or anxiety
  • A commitment and passion for research and maintenance of research rigour
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a broad, multidisciplinary team
The successful candidates will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement along with working with children check
