The Position

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is a world-class 578 bed private hospital offering the highest quality medical and surgical care in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are currently seeking applications from highly experienced Registered or Clinical Nurses to join our Research team as part of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Unit.

This role will be responsible for supporting the research, safety and quality activities of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program at Subiaco Hospital.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree relevant to clinical care and research and have significant recent post-registration experience and the ability to practice at an advanced level.

A working knowledge of modern statistical packages e.g. SPSS will be viewed upon favourably.

The position will be offered on a 12 month full time basis, offering 76 hours per fortnight.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.
  • Undergraduate degree relevant to clinical care and research.
  • Significant recent post-registration experience and the ability to practice at an advanced level.
  • Good working knowledge of clinical practice and clinical research methodologies, regulatory requirements relevant acts, codes and standards, and ethical and legal frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work meticulously within highly regulated clinical service and research environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal ongoing education and professional development, and other clinical projects in order to improve patient care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to plan, assess and develop team and individual performance.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, including conflict resolution.
  • High level communication skills.
