Western Health, Drug Health Services (DHS) is currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified AOD Clinician to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.

The AOD Clinician provides Intake Assessments and brief interventions, developing the progression of individual treatment plans, making relevant referrals, liaising with AOD services to support the provision of recovery and harm reduction treatment, including assessing for DHS Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry services.

As the AOD Clinician you are key in the provision of high quality comprehensive AOD assessments and supporting functions of DHS in-patient services, out-patient clinics, community programs and medical workforce.

This position is Full time, ongoing

To be successful for this role you:
Will have qualifications in social work, nursing, psychology or other relevant health discipline

Will have excellent assessment, treatment planning and clinical presentation skills

Will have excellent written, verbal and IT communication skills

Will be able to manage competing priorities within a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health, Nursing & Medical staff

Will have a strong understanding of Harm Minimisation, Relapse Prevention, Overdose Prevention and other evidence based interventions
