What You Will Be Doing
The Safe Wards Project Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the Safe Wards model in one of the Acute wards at Frankston Hospital and one Subacute ward. This role will include collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and other trial sites. Implementation will include review of the current approach to restrictive interventions, liaison with staff, providing education and training, and writing reports for DHHS.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience and scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of continuous improvement and associated quality and risk systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the current issues and policies impacting on the de-escalation and management of clinical aggression in the acute and subacute environment.
  • Experience in management of clinical aggression and high level de-escalation skills.
