What You Will Be Doing

Six Victorian health services will be working collaboratively in 2021-22 with Safer Care Victoria and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to achieve measurable improvement in the delivery of timely care. The Project Officer for Peninsula Health will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project generating and presenting insights from various data sources to support the Partnership and to build clinical engagement to ensure we deliver the right care, at the right time, in the right place. The partnership is an 18-month improvement program focussed on addressing patient flow problems using a whole of health service approach and sits within Peninsula Health’s Improvement & Innovation team.**

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough qualitative/quantitative diagnosis of patient flow across the health service
  • Build models & simulations to support “what-if?” scenarios
  • Report project related data and performance measures
  • Assemble compelling slide decks and communicate their content effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops and education sessions
  • Deliver day-to-day project tasks and activities
  • Work closely with clinicians**
What You Need

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong project & change management skills
  • Strong grasp of redesign methodologies such as Lean (Six Sigma certification an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision **
