Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.

The Director (Staff Specialist) of the Parent and Baby Unit will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The Director (Staff Specialist) will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to, and clinical management in, the Parent and Baby Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, contributing to development and ongoing implementation of the model of care and operational procedures in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager, and liaising with internal and external partner service partners.

The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and have Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
