Located on the beautiful Great South Coast, South West Healthcare offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and psychiatric services. The organisation serves a catchment in excess of 110,000 and comprises of a total of 282 beds and an extensive range of primary and community services. Warrnambool boasts excellent sporting, education (pre-school to university), social and cultural facilities. The city’s award winning foreshore promenade is a 5.7km path that stretches from the breakwater along the coastline to the Hopkins River mouth.

About the role

Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) have an opportunity available for an experienced and highly skilled Clinician to expand their skills and knowledge base in a full time maternity leave position. The role will be responsible for assisting the Manager of CAMHS in providing leadership, planning, coordination, development, delivery and administration of the team.

Applicants should have a variety of skills, knowledge and experience in the Mental Health setting and demonstrated leadership skills and management experience. An ability to provide initiative and innovation in a changing environment, with problem solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Agreement 2016-2020 or Victorian Public Health Sector (Medical Scientists, Pharmacists & Psychologists) Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021, with the appropriate classification ofRegistered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Social Worker Grade 3, Occupational Therapist Grade 3, and Psychologist Grade 3.

The successful applicant will be required to be eligible for and undergo the following:
