What you'll be doing

The Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (CBIRS) plays a major role in assessing the client’s progress in the community and coordinating appropriate outpatient and community-based resources according to the needs of the client. The CBIRS Case Management service can provide consultative advice and education on traumatic brain injury and to resource other services/agencies involved in managing those who have sustained a traumatic brain injury. This is a Senior Clinician position within a specialized Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service. The case manager requires high levels of clinical expertise and knowledge relevant to the provision of high quality clinical services to clients with brain injuries and their families, and the skills to work autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision on a day to-day basis. These clients have complex difficulties, which require advanced case management skills.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Degree in allied health or related field, such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Physiotherapy or Masters or Doctorate in Psychology.
Registration: AHPRA Registration required if applicable

Selection Criteria

  1. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
  2. Extensive clinical experience plus substantial experience in relevant case management.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
  5. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
  6. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the complexity of issues facing clients with severe traumatic brain injury
  7. Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence
